Angela’s dream champagne bespoke gown

Introducing our real bride Angela, who designed her own wedding dress, which we made to measure to fit her perfectly, in champagne satin and gold lace. From the moment we first met this relaxed and charming bride-to-be, Angela was an absolute pleasure to work with.

It was such fun incorporating her ideas, and those of her best friend and right hand lady, Kathy.

We gradually honed the many ideas for Angela’s bridal gown into the most fabulous bespoke wedding dress design, which suited her perfectly, covered the parts which (allegedly!) needed covering, whilst creating the most flattering silhouette.

Handmade in pale champagne satin, this custom made gown featured a hidden internal corset, silk lining, and was embellished with a stunning pale gold lace tulle, lovingly appliqued on during the weeks before the wedding, and fastened with covered buttons and rouleau loops.

During Angela’s laughter-filled fittings, we were lucky enough to meet her delightful daughters Steph and Georgia, who as well as being bridesmaids, in fact “gave her away” on her wedding day. (There may have been some veils and tiaras begin tried on during these fittings, but not necessarily by the bride herself!).

Angela and Neil chose to marry at St Lawrence’s Church in Lurgashall, followed by a relaxed reception in a marquee by Trafalgar Marquees

As they were married in August, floral designer Ashdown Flowers put together the most glorious summer bouquets, table decorations and flower arch in gorgeous pink and white roses.

The light, relaxed and romantic vibe of the day was reflected in all the carefully planned details, with wonderful dining by Maria Shiner Catering.

The stunning pale pink bridesmaids dresses suited all the girls perfectly, whilst complimenting the pale gold of Angela’s gown, whilst the boys were kitted out in elegant suits by Moss Bross, with beautifully co-ordinating ties and hankies by Swagger and Swoon. Neil the groom wore a fabulous waistcoat by Favourbrook

The details incorporated by this very creative bride, seem to me to reflect the lives and loves of this whole warm and fun family.
