We are a luxury dressmaker, which means you have the control & freedom to design your own unique wedding dress. Our Couture Kit works like a bespoke, mix and match collection. The concept enables you to create your very own wedding dress design online here, before even coming to one of our London or Surrey boutiques to try on samples and look at fabrics.
We like you to explore all choices possible when creating your ideal silhouette, so you can select any of the bodices and skirts shown in our Couture Kit app, in any combination, customised to bring your vision to life and individually handmade for you, here in Britain.
All can be made in your choice of colour, silk, satin or crepe, with or without a lace or sheer over-layer. There are some stunning accessories, including sparkle and crystal beaded appliqué, or you could design your own. Why not try the Couture Kit app now?
After having some fun playing with our free wedding dress design app, and discovering your perfect bridal gown silhouette, then click on the green “Email design team for a quote” button.
We can then get in touch to help you develop your ideas, by giving you all the details you need to decide if you’d like to make an appointment to come and try on some samples and look at fabric options – this is where the fun really starts.
At your wedding dress design consultation appointment, you can try on the samples as separate tops and skirts (which we have in a range of sizes), you can explore different combinations of bodice, strap, sleeve and skirt styles until you find the perfect and most flattering wedding dress silhouette for you.
Together, we’ll draw up a sketch for you to take with you, and following this appointment, we’ll send you a booking form with details of how to book and how fittings work.
We request that a deposit be sent with your completed booking form, and that the balance be settled on collection of your wedding dress, when you are 100% happy. Please contact us if you have any queries about the process.
Customising your wedding dress
Usually, Brides-to-be who contact us, include their ideas for customising their wedding gown, as there may be some elements which aren’t shown as options on the design app. This doesn’t mean we can’t do them, just that they’re probably what makes your design totally unique to you.
There are also more wedding dress styles available, different overlays in lace or sheer gathered chiffon, that are not shown on the app, but you can try them on when you visit.
Just send us the closest design you can create with the app, along with a description or images of the alterations, accessories and additions you’d ideally like to make, and we’ll try and accommodate whatever your dream may be. It’s a good idea to include your ideal budget in your email, as we always aim to suggest options that fit with this.
And do please send us your Pinterest board or any images of features that you’d like to incorporate into your wedding dress design.
Lead times and measuring
Many of our brides experience weight change in the run up to their wedding (intentionally or not), and part of the beauty of the “made to measure experience” is that we can accommodate this, and ensure the finished gown fits perfectly.
So when do you need to book? Our lead time is usually between 6 and 8 months, but at some times of year this can extend to 12 months, so do get in touch as soon as you can to ensure we have availability. But rest assured, we don’t actually measure our brides until around 4 months before their wedding day.
Your fittings would be around 4 to 6 weeks after this, so it is ideal to reach your goal weight by this time at the latest, so you can enjoy the tailor made experience, before collecting your bespoke wedding dress around 2 to 4 weeks before your wedding.
